West Side Story poster

This one’s a little exposure for myself. I love working with typography and flat colour comps. I had a little spare time so I started with this illustration of the girl in the poster. I just really liked the angle of the shot and felt it would look great if it was applied to a composition. So I originally intended to have this be a poster for some kind of Jazz gig… Like Blue Note or something… when I played with the colour, West Side Story immediately came to mind… the rest is all in front of you..
